Lord Of The Rings Poster Adobe Photoshop Tutorial

Lord of the Rings Background

Search for a background image of Lord of the Rings and paste it.

 

Blur it with Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Don't use too much, just a little bit.

soft eraser 

Use a soft eraser and use it on the backgorund of the characters.

curves 

Some photos are lighter than others. Use Image > Adjustments > Curves to fix it.

soft brush 

light source 

Use a large white soft brush to create new light sources.

leather texture 

Search for a leather texture and paste it on top. I used this one. 

sharpened leather texture 

In this case, the texture isn't sharp enough. Use Filter > Sharp > Sharpen More 2 times. 

set overlay opacity 

Put it on Overlay and set Opacity to 8%.

color balance 

Merge all layers together. Go to Image > Adjustments > Color Balance and use these settings.

font Tengwar Cursive 

Add some text with the font Tengwar Cursive.

warp text 

Go to the Warp Text options and use these settings.

set the Opacity to 50% 

Position the text. Put the text layer on Overlay with and set the Opacity to 50%.

Lord of the Rings Poster with no text 

Copy everything with Edit > Copy Merged and paste it. Set that layer on Overlay. Add the Lord of the Rings logo and some text. You're finshed.
